Afflux rules over the domains of ‘inquiry’ and necromancy. He is commonly known (and feared) as the god of torture, as his ‘inquiries’ often turn violent when the information that he’s looking for is withheld.
According to legend, Afflux was a mortal before rising to godhood. Through the use of necromancy, Afflux increased his lifespan to that of unnatural levels, and the god Phieran came to take care of him, in order to prevent him from taking power from the Pantheon, as unnaturally enhanced life was considered a risk at the time. Instead, Afflux trapped the god, and tortured him to gain all knowledge of godhood, nearly driving him mad. Afflux then used this knowledge to ascend, and take over the domains of Inquiry and Necromancy on the Pantheon.
Followers of Afflux tend to be interrogators, inquisitors, or others who seek knowledge at all costs. His holy symbol is a drop of blood, trapped with gold chains.
